Material Costs & Vendor Catalogs in ConGenius

Learn how to update pricing, check local costs, and import your own vendor catalogs.

How often is the Home Depot catalog updated?

We typically update the Home Depot catalog on a quarterly basis.

Recently, we’ve added the ability to manually update item costs within the Home Depot catalog, so you can ensure your assemblies and estimates reflect the most accurate pricing—without waiting for the next update.

Does the Home Depot catalog include local pricing?

Not yet. The Home Depot catalog in ConGenius does not currently reflect live, location-specific pricing.

However, you can click the link on any item to view its current price on HomeDepot.com, then manually update the cost in ConGenius to match your local store.

I don’t use Home Depot. Can I use another vendor’s catalog?

Absolutely! If you use other vendors for materials, we recommend importing their catalogs into Your Catalog.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Create a new material folder in Your Catalog for your preferred vendor.

  2. Organize with subfolders (e.g., by material type or division).

  3. Import a CSV file with material costs into the relevant folders.

This lets you build a custom catalog that matches how you work.

Will you be adding a Lowe’s catalog?

We’ve had internal discussions about adding a Lowe’s catalog, but it’s not currently planned for the 2025 roadmap.

That said, we’re always open to feedback—let us know if this would be helpful for your workflow!
